Job Description:

At Wiser, we put our customers first. We are building a world-class suite of products to enable Brands and Retailers to thrive in the dynamic world of omni-channel retailing. We are looking for a self-driven, ambitious, and strategic Product Manager/Owner who can imagine the future and manage a product backlog to get us there. If are the type who always has tons of ideas and are maniac about execution, then this is the job for you.  

You will work closely with our engineers to guide products from ideation to launch. You will work with customers and internal stakeholders to collect insights and articulate the product vision. You are data-driven in your decision making and know how to conduct market research and competitive intelligence to vet opportunities. 

Responsibilities:

  • Create, maintain, and prioritize their agile team's product backlog based on business value or ROI 
  • Recommend and advise the product management team on business and client user needs 
  • Capably report the product development and release status outside the team 
  • Make business decisions by creating epics and stories so that the agile team understands product outcome objectives 
  • Collaborate with product management team and stakeholders to define roadmap, release plans, and Minimum Viable Product (MVP) to achieve company strategic goals 
  • Lead business stakeholder meetings and encourages innovative ideas from agile team and stakeholders 
  • Prioritize user stories and defects/bugs based on business value 
  • Participate in project planning, release planning, daily stand-up meetings / scrums, demos / reviews, retrospectives, backlog grooming meetings, and other stakeholder meetings 
  • Review deliverable and demonstrable code, accepting or rejecting based on business requirements 
  • Coordinate beta testing of new products and features, and seeds backlog with any recommended improvements 
  • Conduct market research and competitive intelligence to identify opportunities and develop product strategies 
  • Interview customers to identify needs and gather product requirements 
  • Communicate to all levels of the organization, including C-suite 
  • Maintain regular and reliable work attendance

Skills and Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of product management, engineering, or consulting experience 
  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Business, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience 
  • Experience working in an Agile environment on internet, SaaS, or other software products 
  • Experience using Atlassian Jira or similar tools 
  • Exceptional communications skills 
  • Exceptional problem solving and data-driven decision-making abilities 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Track record of successfully launched products 
  • Knowledge of the retail/eCommerce industry  
  • Advanced degree in Engineering, Data Science, or MBA
