Job Description:

This role is a unique opportunity for an aspiring accounting and finance professional to work very closely with a small team, reporting directly to the CFO, in a fast growing and dynamic start-up environment.   • Responsible for all Accounts Receivable workflows, controls, administration, reporting, and collections. This includes client account set up and maintenance (Zuora) and integration into SalesForce, managing credit review processes, collections, coordination with Customer Success, reporting, and controls. Familiarity with SaaS revenue recognition and accounting practices is preferred.
  • Responsible for creating, implementing, and following controls and processes as they relate to banking, cash application, cash receipts, and purchase approvals.
  • Support month-end and year-end close with third party accounting firm.
  • Support year-end financial reviews/audits, tax filings, and regulatory filings.
  • Support FP&A in the monthly preparation of management reports, updating of forecasts, maintenance of operating model. Be the keeper of knowledge by instilling data consistency, organization, and management for entire company.
  • Support M&A activity as a highly active member of the implementation team, playing a key role in integration and consolidation of targets.
  • Manage intercompany agreements and their associated accounting requirements.
  • Pays invoices by verifying transaction information; scheduling and preparing disbursements; obtaining authorization of payment.
  • Verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.
  • Create and maintain compliance calendar.
  • Review and process employee expenses.
  • Develop a workflow for internal communication and escalation for customer accounts.
  • With CFO, create a cancellation and renewal policy.
  • Maintain regular and reliable work attendance

Skills and Qualifications

  • Accounting or Finance degree preferred and/or 2-5 years working experience.
  • Proficiency in Excel and NetSuite. Familiarity with Zuora, and Salesforce a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload in order to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate issues to all levels of management.
  • Able to multi-task the activities with shifting priorities.
  • Strong preference for self-motivated and self-starters who want to expand career in finance who takes pride in quality of their work as part of a fun but hard working team.
  • Should be honest, assertive and systematic.
